Brush Strokes is a Main Street Schuylkill Haven treasure that is keeping the arts and crafts alive in our community. Owner, Becca Cavalieri is an artist at heart and always considered her creative talent a hobby. In 2018 she decided to open a storefront and start spreading her love with the community. Becca considers her store a DIY workshop where folks of all ages and artistic talent can come and have fun. Brush Strokes offers ceramics, canvases, wood painting classes, birthday parties, paint and sips, fundraisers and so much more. Brush Strokes welcomes walk ins and also schedules parties.

“We are here so you can let your inner artist outside to play,” said Becca. “Once you walk in the door, the sky is the limit for what you can create and we are here to help you every step of the way,” she added. The store, or workshop, is set up so customers can browse to find exactly what they want to create. There is also completed projects to purchase. 

“We can customize, too,” said Becca. “Keychains, cheese boards, decorative signs, and ornaments are a few of our top sellers,” she said. “Our make it yourself kits that include supplies and directions to take and make at home are popular for gift giving.”

Brush Strokes is always adding new items and services to enhance their product line and meet customers’ needs. “I credit my customers for helping my business grow and thrive,” said Becca. “I am grateful for their ongoing support.” 

Most recently she started taking the Brush Strokes show on the road. Becca explained that one of her most popular events both in and off-site are paint and sip parties. “You select a painting for your group and I’ll bring all the canvases, paints, and supplies needed for everyone, plus demonstrate and paint right along with your guests.”  

Longtime Schuykill Haven business owner of Lewis General Store and Economic Development Chair of Our Haven Foundation, Vicky Norris commends Becca for her ongoing dedication to her business and customers. “Our Haven Foundation salutes Becca for her commitment to her business in downtown Schuykill Haven,” said Norris. “Brushstrokes will be celebrating their fourth year in April 2022. Becca has been innovative and diligent to survive throughout this pandemic which has not been easy,” she added.
